“I want to visit a lavender farm in UK!” said my sister.
I haven’t really given much thought about it, but knowing my sister who is a wedding and events floral designer, flowers are definitely her thing.
I saw a photo of my London-based friend, Aa, posing at the Lavender farm in surrey and the place looks beautiful! But she said that place was in Surrey, very far from Harrogate, but good thing my cousin found one in Yorkshire. So here we at the Yorkshire Lavender!
To get to the middle, you will have to go through the Lavender maze. I honestly did not go through the maze and only lasted for a few photo op because there are like a hundred bees stuck to the lavender and I am so scared of getting stung!
But the guy who works there said that the bees usually do not sting people, they just like to be stuck in the lavender strands and if ever I did get stung, I can ask for a lavender oil at the shop to heal it.
And very timely that few minutes after he said that, a teenage girl cried saying she got stung! So no way, sir, I’m staying in the clear land.
Imagine my brave sister, navigating her way through the maze. Actually, during that time, the cold wind was brushing against the lavender strands, so it’s really inevitable to get close to the bees.
Here’s the shop that sells all kinds of Lavender products. We bought a bath bomb but was not able to use it at the bath tub at home. Actually, my sister tried ..well, actually I forgot the story on that one.
Our Aunt treated us to a Lavender Ice cream! I’ve had a Sakura flavored and rose flavored when we went to Japan last year during the Cherry Blossoms season. So it’s interesting what this taste like.
It taste like crushed lavender in mint marinated in vanilla-like ice cream. Worth a try when you go there.
