When in UK: Inside a Castle

England is known for royalty and castles and when you see one in UK, might as well go in.

We realized that not all castles were still able to preserve their interiors (see my Conwy Castle post) so we were really lucky to have had the opportunity to actually visit the rooms inside a castle. All thanks to our Aunt and Uncle who took us there on a private tour since my uncle works in the castle.

Check this garden. The first time I saw this I heard Taylor Swift’s Blank Space song in my head: “Nice to meet you, where you’ve been? I could show you incredible things…” See her music video here and you will know what I am talking about.

And those are just few pictures of some selected rooms that we went into.

We actually saw the interiors of the castle in Windsor Castle in London, but this tour is way better! In Windsor castle, you are allowed to also see the rooms, painting, marvel at the ceiling, the precious collections for public viewing but you are not allowed to take any photos, hence, no photos of interiors in Windsor Castle (more of that in my coming posts). We came and saw this castle first before coming to Windsor Castle in London, so we already had our “castle fix”.

Do you know that this Castle is also famous for holding weddings? Yes you can!

Thank you Uncle Dave and Aunt Edith for taking us to Allerton Castle!
